Residency Program Director Opening in Altoona, PA _x000D_Pittsburgh 98m_x000D x000D_Seeking a new program director to lead their long-time, well-established, residency program in the setting of the retirement of their current program director. _x000D x000D_ 8-8-8 Family Medicine Residency Program_x000D_ Family Physicians will graduate their 47th class of residents in 2023._x000D_ Requires administrative, patient care, scholarly activity, teaching, and leadership responsibilities._x000D_ Oversee the high-quality educational curriculum of the family medicine residency program_x000D_ Oversee ACGME accreditation process with ongoing maintenance of certification and compliance with ACGME requirements for training_x000D_ Administrative supervision of multiple offices_x000D_ Collaborate with the transitional year residency and the hospice and palliative medicine fellowship program directors in the supervision of those programs_x000D_ Commitment to osteopathic medicine education with oversight of the osteopathic program director and osteopathic recognition for both the family medicine residency and the transitional year residency_x000D_ Oversee interview, selection, and advancement of residents in addition to the mentoring and development of residents, staff, and faculty physicians_x000D_ 0.8 Administrative/0.2 Patient Care; OB not required for this role_x000D_ Must be board certified through ABFM or AOBFP_x000D_ Minimum of 5 years as family medicine residency faculty_x000D_ Minimum of 2 years as family medicine leadership role (program director, associate program director, site director) or leadership training such as NIPPD._x000D x000D_Benefits:_x000D x000D_ Insurance: Health, Vision, Dental, Life, and Disability_x000D_ Malpractice insurance provided_x000D_ 5 weeks of vacation/PTO_x000D_ CME: 12 days and $5,000 annual allowance_x000D_ Relocation assistance available_x000D x000D_Community:_x000D x000D_ Located about 2 hours from Pittsburgh and 3 hours from Baltimore_x000D_ Combines the activities of a small metropolitan area with the scenic beauty of a rural location_x000D_ Altoona offers affordable housing, religious diversity, excellent schools both public and private, and numerous higher education institutions_x000D_ Year-round outdoor recreational activities at Blue Knob Ski Resort and Lake Raystown and sporting events with the Double A Pittsburgh Pirate Affiliate- Altoona Curve and Penn State Division 1 sports teams_x000D_ Cultural activities including the Altoona Symphony Orchestra, Historic Mishler Theater, Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art, and the Bryce Jordan Center_x000D_ A variety of shopping and dining choices including many local retailers and restaurants
