We are hiring for the following: Position: Licensed Mental Health Professional-LCSW or LPC Schedule: 24 hours per week Location: Bedford County Jail, Bedford, PA Responsibilities: Collect information about patients through interview, case history review, and/or observational techniques; evaluate data to identify focus of treatment interventions and determine proper therapeutic approach or referral to other specialists Provide crisis management, and/or short-term solution-focused therapy to patients as appropriate; provide therapeutic crisis intervention and emergency services as required Demonstrate knowledge of DSM-5 criteria and appropriate interventions Initiate an interdisciplinary treatment plan and participate in the ongoing treatment planning process Consult with other mental health practitioners, healthcare staff and correctional professionals, as appropriate in the performance of therapeutic and/or casework Document patients activities and progress Follow up to determine reliability of treatment used; change treatment interventions when indicated Participate in the review of clinical issues and program policies and procedures Follow established policies, procedures, professional standards, all federal, state and local guidelines, continuous quality improvement and safety, environmental, and infection control standards Will adhere to MEDIKOs Standards of Professional Conduct Respond to requests from correctional staff as well as MEDIKO Staff in accordance with MEDIKO and Facility Guidelines.
