  The Telemetry Registered Nurse (TELE RN) provides direct patient care, monitors patients using telemetry equipment, and interprets EKG data. -
  Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care: -Directly providing care, including assessments, medication administration, and monitoring, and developing individualized care plans.
    
  • Telemetry Monitoring: -Experience using and interpreting telemetry equipment, recognizing abnormal rhythms, and responding to cardiac emergencies. -
    
  • ECG/EKG Interpretation: -Ability to interpret EKG waveforms and identify different cardiac rhythms. -
    
  • Medication Administration: -Knowledge of administering cardiac medications and monitoring for side effects. -
    
  • Critical Thinking: -Ability to analyze patient data, identify problems, and develop solutions. -
    
  • Communication: -Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals. -
    
  • Teamwork: -Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team environment. -
    
  • Problem-Solving: -Ability to address complex patient care issues and adapt to changing priorities. -
    
  • Documentation: -Accurate and thorough documentation of patient assessments, care plans, and interventions. -
    
    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Licensure/Certification: Must hold a current and valid Pennsylvania RN License or Compact RN License to work in Pennsylvania.
      
    • Experience: A minimum of one year of recent experience working on a Telemetry unit. -
      
    • Stress Management: -Demonstrated ability to handle stress and maintain composure in a critical care setting. -
      
    • Adaptability: -Ability to adapt to changing situations and handle unexpected events.
